God Bless America, a poem

Ten thousand eyes in each city
Watches as our Lady Liberty
Is raped and and stabbed and
Blinded by a gun muzzle’s gleam
We’ve all grown accustomed to her screams
From our TV and phone and computer screens
We pray she stops bleeding
But if she stops breathing
Before she stops bleeding
From whose rotten green teet
Do we keep feeding?
