Autumn Winds, a poem

The quiet autumn waters and liquid sunlight
Lull the world into tranquility, and as
Persephone sleeps soundly in this silent sanctuary
Her children illuminate the earth with rays of muted red and gold
A lyre’s honeyed melodies tinge the air with echoes of joy and jubilation
And the offspring of Mother Nature pay no mind to the gray skies as they
Dance and sing and they shine with a graceful beauty,
A beauty known only to man as ‘goddess’
